But here’s the hard truth: Why are health insurance companies allowed to overrule doctors? Your doctor goes to school for years, earns a degree, diagnoses you, prescribes your treatment… and then someone behind a computer — with no medical license — can deny it. That’s not “policy.” That’s harm. And yes, the blood is on BCBS and every insurer that does this. People don’t talk about it, but how many class action lawsuits have already been filed against them? And they don’t mind paying out — because denying care saves them more money than they lose.
